Overview
As the Construction and Civil Project Coordinating Engineer, you will play a key role in developing new business opportunities and assisting in the specification and sale of class-leading products. This position involves extensive collaboration with professional construction project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and developers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Relationship Development: Develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders, including concrete producers, developers, infrastructure departments, and contractors.
- Product Specification and Sales: Assist in the specification and sale of products, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Project Coordination: Liaise with construction project teams to coordinate project details effectively.
- Contractor Development: Identify, develop, and train specialized contractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Travel for Project Oversight: Travel within South Africa and across Africa to oversee project progress and build relationships with key industry players.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise on the use and application of products in construction projects.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering is required.
- Industry Experience: A background in civil engineering design and construction is advantageous. Preferred candidates will have established relationships with leading concrete producers, developers, infrastructure departments, contractors, and engineering/architectural firms in Southern Africa.
- Construction Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the construction industry and its key stakeholders is essential.
