Job Summary: The SHEQ Compliance Artisan is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and monitoring adherence to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policies and procedures. This role ensures compliance with site, client-specific, and legislative requirements. The artisan will perform trade-related maintenance and repairs, conduct inspections, operate lifting equipment, and support engineering and production performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Investigate, diagnose, and perform maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to standards and specifications.
- Develop, modify, construct, and install trade-related equipment for safe operation.
- Continuously monitor equipment for failure and efficiency to enhance equipment and systems.
- Consult with production teams on maintenance activities impacting production.
- Inspections and Compliance:
- Perform daily inspections as per OHSAS Act regulations, operational, and company standards.
- Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate mobile lifting equipment (forklift) according to safety and operating procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
- Record and report maintenance-related information to the relevant planning office for asset maintenance support.
- Support and Improvement:
- Support the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels.
- Continuously seek improvements in trade-specific equipment and systems.
Qualification Requirements:
- Valid Section 13 Trade Test / Section 26(D) certificate.
- Valid driver’s license (Code B, EB, or C1).
- Own transport for call outs.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a qualified artisan.
- Forklift Operating License is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong time management skills.
