About This Opportunity
Work-Force is hiring for a Public Library Assistant in Cape Town. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who loves books and is eager to help the community.

Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Customer Service: Assisting library patrons with finding books, using computers, and answering questions.
Book Shelving: Organizing returned books and ensuring they are properly shelved.
Library Events: Assisting with library events, workshops, and children’s reading programs.
Library Maintenance: Keeping the library clean, including arranging seating areas and tidying up reading rooms.
Book Check-Out: Assisting with checking out books and handling late fees for patrons.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
Attention to Detail: Ability to organize books and manage library tasks efficiently.
Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with library databases or willingness to learn.
Teamwork: Ability to work well with other library staff.
