Work-Force is hiring for a Public Library Assistant in Cape Town. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who loves books and is eager to help the community.
Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for:
• Customer Service: Assisting library patrons with finding books, using computers, and answering questions.
• Book Shelving: Organizing returned books and ensuring they are properly shelved.
• Library Events: Assisting with library events, workshops, and children’s reading programs.
• Library Maintenance: Keeping the library clean, including arranging seating areas and tidying up reading rooms.
• Book Check-Out: Assisting with checking out books and handling late fees for patrons.
Qualifications
