Store Assistant position available. Main Purpose: To ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered, assist customers effectively, and meet set targets.

Job Specification:

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Cash Control:
    • Perform cash desk functions accurately.
    • Ensure cash control and banking processes are followed daily.
    • Maintain zero cash variances.
    • Accurately record manual transactions.
  2. Stock Control:
    • Adhere to stock management processes daily.
    • Follow up on customer orders.
    • Conduct weekly stock counts accurately.
    • Ensure the store room department is maintained in good condition.
    • Complete shoe pairing exercises weekly.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service.
    • Build and maintain internal and external customer relationships.
    • Maintain good customer relationships through effective service.
    • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to assist customers effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year’s retail experience.
  • Qualifications:
    • Completed Matric/Grade 12.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Knowledge of retail administration disciplines.
    • Proficiency in stock and cash management.
    • Strong product knowledge.
    • Sales knowledge and selling skills.
    • Understanding of policies and procedures related to the cash desk, stockroom, admin, and other relevant areas.
    • Numerical ability.
