Experience Range: 3 to 5 Years

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Selection: Ensure supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel by identifying and consulting suppliers, managing supplier RFQs based on the panel provided by Commodity Buyers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate or participate in negotiations with suppliers alongside the Commodity Buyer, and lead the sourcing committee process to select suppliers from the list provided by commodity buyers.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage supplier performance during the program phase, comparing costs with objectives, ensuring quality, adhering to delivery deadlines, and supporting program phase reviews within the Program Management System (PMS).
  • Early Involvement: Ensure early involvement of Series Buyers in the program before the series phase.
  • Supplier Management: Manage specific mandated suppliers as requested and agreed with customers.
  • Engineering Change Requests: Negotiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • First experience in purchasing or program management.
  • International assignment experience would be advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of dedicated product design, development, and launch processes.
  • Understanding of supplier cost structures.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • International mindset and ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of APQP and program management in the automotive sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency in another language depending on the region is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and results-oriented approach.
