Metallurgist

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Engineer with a robust background in metallurgy, specifically within the mining industry. This role is critical for optimizing plant performance through metallurgical tests and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Metallurgical Testing and Analysis:
  • Conduct tests and analysis to optimize plant performance and recovery rates.
• Process Implementation:
  • Implement and monitor metallurgical processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
• Process Development:
  • Develop and enhance processes to improve productivity and recovery rates.
• Performance Monitoring:
  • Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Technical Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and optimize processes.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgy within the mining industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior management role.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Experience with flotation processes and mineral processing techniques and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
