We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Engineer with a robust background in metallurgy, specifically within the mining industry. This role is critical for optimizing plant performance through metallurgical tests and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Metallurgical Testing and Analysis:
- Conduct tests and analysis to optimize plant performance and recovery rates.
- Process Implementation:
- Implement and monitor metallurgical processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Process Development:
- Develop and enhance processes to improve productivity and recovery rates.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Technical Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and optimize processes.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgy within the mining industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior management role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with flotation processes and mineral processing techniques and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
