Required Skills *Minimum B Compt or equivalent
*At least 3 year post qualification experience as a financial manager in a manufacturing/production environment
*Proven track record in financial management, systems implementation and controls
*A resilient individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Customer oriented, assertiveness and problem-solving skills
*Result driven, business acumen and good decision-making as well as strong leadership skills
*Accuracy and attention to detail
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
*Advanced MS Excel skills.
Duties & Responsibilities *People management: recruitment and development as well as performance and wellbeing
*Fixed asset administration
*Financial costing
*Management accounts
*Internal control: Ensure that effective internal control procedures are in place on all the financial functions: stock control, purchase price variance, assets and creditors
*Ensure that the plant complies with all the statutory requirements
Internal Audit: Analyse feedback from the external auditors on controls, procedures and general accepted accounting principles
*All internal processes to be documented and review on a continual basis
Budget, forecasting and actual reporting: Complete monthly / weekly reports accurately and timely for plant meetings and head office submission
Treasury / Risk: Ensure EFT uploads are done timely, accurately and according to financial calendar submitted by head office.
*Adherence to payment terms as set-out by head office
*Administrative control of the Factory Shop on stock take, cash control, reconcile suspense account and insure that margins are maintained control accounts are reconcile with supporting documentation
*Manage the Finance, Dry stores and Factory Shop departments
*Control of incoming milk processing
