As a Foundation Phase Educator, you will create a stimulating learning environment that fosters individual talents and equips children with essential skills in reading, literacy, and numeracy. You will be responsible for delivering forward-thinking education, motivating and inspiring students, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Academic Delivery:
- Deliver a future-focused education program that motivates, inspires, and challenges students.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Academic Assessment & Reporting:
- Assess and evaluate student progress and performance.
- Prepare and provide comprehensive reports on student achievements and areas for improvement.
- Student Behaviour Management:
- Manage student behavior in a constructive and supportive manner.
- Implement strategies to create a positive and conducive learning environment.
- School Brand Ambassadorship:
- Represent the school positively and professionally in interactions with students, parents, and the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and community members.
- Administration:
- Handle administrative tasks related to student records, lesson planning, and other school activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students at all times.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase).
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) may be required depending on degree suitability.
- SACE certification and a police clearance are mandatory.
- 2-5 years of teaching experience.
- Proficiency in computer and digital literacy.
- First Aid certification.
