Looking for your next move as a Distribution Manager in Harrismith? A role has just opened that gives you real responsibility and a clear path forward in Free State.

About the Opportunity

The Distribution Manager vacancy forms part of how the Harrismith branch keeps performing. It pairs day-to-day delivery with longer-running priorities that keep the logistics jobs side of the business moving forward.

In addition, the successful applicant is given the room to plan, deliver and review their work without unnecessary noise. The organisation has built its Harrismith team on trust, and the Distribution Manager role will feel that from week one.

Practically speaking, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Harrismith also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Harrismith.

Crucially, the Harrismith office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

About the Team

You will join a tight-knit, collaborative team that knows the logistics jobs side of the business inside out. The Harrismith group is a healthy mix of experienced operators and newer joiners, all of whom share a strong commitment to delivery and to one another.

Equally, the team mix in Harrismith reflects a balance of experienced operators and emerging talent, with deliberate space for diverse voices and backgrounds.

Collaboration is the default working mode. Whether picking up a quick query or working through a complex project, you will find colleagues willing to lean in and help.

Core Functions
