System Analyst

About the Role: The Systems Analyst will be responsible for planning and implementing efficient information and operational systems to support core organizational functions. The role involves diagnosing and resolving systems issues, maximizing IT system investments, and enhancing system performance to support organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Education: College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 5 years of related work experience in overseeing the design, implementation, and support of software and hardware solutions.
• Software Experience: Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft NAV & BC.
• Skills:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and design of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
• Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business requirements, system goals, and resolve issues.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house and 3rd party computing systems.
• Review and analyze the effectiveness of existing systems and develop improvement strategies.
• Assist in deploying new applications and enhancements.
• Research hardware and software products for purchasing decisions and recommendations.
• Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for system programmers.
• Coordinate and conduct in-depth tests for modified and new systems.
• Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
• Offer ongoing system support and handle financial reconciliations and inquiries.
• Perform root cause analysis and reporting.
