Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales:

  • Acknowledge Every Customer: Greet every customer within 30 seconds of their arrival.
  • Deliver Excellent Service: Provide top-notch customer service following Birkenstock procedures.
  • Identify and Meet Customer Needs: Use your knowledge to assess customer needs and demonstrate product benefits.
  • Close Sales and Secure Add-Ons: Successfully close sales and suggest additional products to enhance the customer’s purchase.
  • Encourage Repeat Business: Invite customers to return and build loyalty to the Birkenstock brand.
  • Monitor Sales Performance: Regularly track your sales against your individual budget.

Inventory Management:

  • Replenish Stock: Refill footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom daily.
  • Minimize Shrinkage: Implement strategies to reduce stock loss by zoning the store, engaging with customers, and adhering to the changing room policy.
  • Accurate Stock Entries: Ensure accurate entries in the POS system.
  • Process Deliveries: Check delivery quantities, invoices, tag, hang, price products, and record them in the POS system.
  • Manage Customer Orders: Handle and process customer orders efficiently.

Daily Operations:

  • Store Maintenance: Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, and tidying change rooms.
  • Assist with Store Operations: Help with opening and closing the store as needed.

Training:

  • Self-Responsibility: Take charge of your own training and development.
  • Buddy System: Initially be assigned a buddy to assist with learning.
  • Quarterly Training: Attend and complete quarterly training sessions and assessments.
  • Monthly Feedback: Receive and act on monthly feedback from your manager.
  • Progress Meetings: Set up monthly meetings with your store manager to discuss progress and promotions.

Merchandising:

  • Maintain Stock Presentation: Ensure stock presentation adheres to Birkenstock standards.
  • Replenish Sizes: Ensure that sizes are regularly replenished.
  • Assist with Merchandising: Help change windows and mannequins every two weeks.
  • POS Material Management: Store POS materials properly to prevent damage.

Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in customer service.
  • Birkenstock Knowledge: Advantageous but not required.
  • Flexible Shifts: Ability to work flexible shifts.
