Job Purpose: To provide technical expertise and support to Management, with a focus on strategic initiatives, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide and advise Management on technical matters.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Quality Support:
    • Provide technical support on quality issues across all business areas including construction, proposals, procurement, and business services.
    • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and systems.
  • Supply Chain Management:
    • Participate in Supply Chain management processes to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Project Quality Management:
    • Prepare and execute Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Project Management Plans (PMPs) for all Nuclear projects.
    • Incorporate industry standard requirements such as NQA-1 into the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Audits and Non-Conformance Management:
    • Execute the internal audit program to enhance transparency, effectiveness, and efficiency of Quality Management (QM) audits.
    • Manage and report on professional non-conformance (NC) across all business units.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive quality improvement methods and enhance process performance management using methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
    • Provide continuous management and support for all projects to ensure ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or equivalent with professional registration.
    • Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the EPC industry as a QA Advisor.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in training and implementing company strategies successfully.

Knowledge & Behavioural Competencies:

  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of ISO 9001 principles, RD-0034, ASME NQA-1, and ISO 19011 principles.
    • Knowledge of basic principles in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management.
    • Proficiency in project management principles including PMBOK, Contract Management, and Planning.
    • Familiarity with the nuclear industry, including applicable standards, codes, regulations, and practices, is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Skills:
    • Strategic thinking with strong technical competence.
    • Proficiency in computer systems and project management tools (e.g., IFS, Primavera, MS Projects).
    • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Behaviours/Personal Attributes:
    • Demonstrates technical, interpersonal, and conceptual skills.
    • Visionary and collaborative with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
    • Methodical approach with a focus on health and safety advocacy.
    • Performance-driven with foresight and a proactive mindset.
