Production Superintendent

Production Superintendent position available. Main Purpose: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities at the mine, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production targets. This role involves developing and implementing production plans, leading a team of production staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight:
  • Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize mine output.
• Data Analysis and Improvement:
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Motivate and mentor the team to achieve high performance and operational excellence.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and geology to ensure smooth operations and resolve any production-related issues.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:
  • Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines OR a Degree in Mining Engineering along with a Surface Blasting Certificate.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor level in the mining industry.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
