Junior Draughtsman position available. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled 3D Modeler and CNC Programmer to join our team in Epping, Cape Town. This role is essential for providing detailed 3D modeling, shop drawings, and product Bills of Materials (BOM) for furniture items, as well as CNC programming and maintenance.
Key Accountabilities:
- 3D CAD Modeling: Produce detailed 3D CAD models of furniture items.
- Shop Drawings: Create CAD shop drawings with detailed dimensioning and instructions as required.
- Assembly Drawings: Generate CAD assembly drawings.
- Drawing Maintenance: Maintain and update all drawings in the database to reflect any relevant changes.
- CNC Programming: Program CNC machines for production.
- Bill of Materials (BOM): Complete product BOM using an Excel template and make necessary updates for any changes in raw materials or hardware.
- Production Monitoring: Follow drawings through the production process and ensure quality and accuracy.
- Machine Maintenance: Assist the Technical Manager with the machine maintenance program and support running repairs performed by maintenance contractors.
Technical Skills:
- Education: Grade 12
- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD Lt, Fusion 360, Microsoft Office
- CNC Programming: Experience with various CNC programming
- Additional Requirement: Valid driver’s license
