Responsibilities:

  • Product Inspection: Ensure all received products are sealed in accordance with required standards. Check for leakages or expired packages before moving stock to the designated bin locations.
  • Stock Replenishment: Replenish bin locations following stock holding/picking principles, including front to back, top to bottom, left to right. Adhere to pack size and stock rotation procedures (FIFO).
  • Product Condition: Ensure all replenished products are in a clean and saleable condition.
  • Reporting: Report any damaged packages/products to the line manager. Raise any stock concerns with the line manager.
  • Stock Counts: Prepare for and participate in cycle counts and stock takes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other team members to achieve team goals. Attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with Health and Safety requirements and adhere to warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all areas are free from wrapping, waste, and damaged stock. Keep work areas neat and tidy before leaving at the end of each shift.
  • Stock Handling: Handle all stock in accordance with stock handling signage, such as “this way up” and “handle with care.”

Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of various cosmetics and fragrances products is required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in picking, packing, checking, replenishing, and dispatching stock in a warehouse environment. Experience with cycle counts and stock takes.
  • Computer Skills: Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
