We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating ad hoc exception reports, analyzing business data, and generating insights to support decision-making across the organization. You will develop interactive reports and dashboards that drive business performance and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Gather, clean, and analyze large data sets using automation tools like Power Query.
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and VBA/Macros, for in-depth data analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Business Insights & Recommendations:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
- Present key findings and actionable insights to stakeholders through live reporting.
- Measure and track the effectiveness of business initiatives with detailed performance analysis.
- Data Modelling, Data Flow, and Forecasting:
- Develop and optimize data flows in Power BI and Excel for forecasting and scenario planning.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Formulate data flows for easy access and ad hoc reporting.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with departments (e.g., finance, sales, operations) to provide analytical support and develop customized reports.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to address business challenges with data-driven solutions.
- Process Improvement:
- Review business processes and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
- Leverage automation tools in Excel, Power BI, and other tools to enhance reporting efficiency.
- Project Management & Miscellaneous Duties:
- Analyze trends and patterns, manage daily/weekly/monthly reporting, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain a Master List of reports, including timeframes and responsible parties.
- Formulate objectives and implement plans aligned with organizational strategy.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard creation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, data modeling, and automation (VBA/Macros).
- Experience with ETL processes and integrating multiple data sources.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
Advantageous:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL and business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with other data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
