Purpose of the Role: The Livestock Auction Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and overall marketing of livestock auctions. This includes managing all administrative duties, organizing auction dates, and compiling promotional materials to ensure a successful auction process. The role requires providing professional and efficient service to uphold the organization’s positive image.
Requirements:
- Essential:
- Relevant Diploma or Degree.
- At least 2 years’ experience in the livestock industry.
- Experience in digital marketing.
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
- Valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities:
- Auction Planning and Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate auction dates.
- Plan and manage auction equipment and materials.
- Compile pamphlets and catalogues for auctions.
- Gather necessary information and documentation for auctions.
- Marketing and Advertising:
- Responsible for advertising and promoting auctions.
- Procure sponsors for catalogues and events.
- Obtain quotations from printers for pamphlets and catalogues.
- Distribute marketing materials to relevant parties.
- Client and Digital Services:
- Ensure a positive image of the organization through professional client service.
- Manage and execute digital auctions.
- Coordinate communication with livestock clients regarding digital media requirements.
- Assist in the procurement and management of new buyers and sellers.
- Administrative Duties:
- Plan and organize refreshments for commercial auctions.
- Organize vehicle services, licensing, and roadworthiness of vehicles/trucks.
