Purpose of the Role: Assist electricians and technicians with daily maintenance tasks and other related duties to ensure efficient and safe operation of electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Maintenance:
- Assist with basic electrical duties under supervision, including using electrical hand equipment (grinder, drill, test meters) and basic welding.
- Clean cables and electrical equipment as part of daily maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during maintenance activities.
- Support Duties:
- Provide support in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Perform tasks as directed by electricians or technicians.
- Maintain a high quality of work and ensure tasks are completed in a neat and orderly manner.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Grade 12/NQF4 qualification.
- Experience:
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience in both fields.
- Previous troubleshooting experience is essential.
- A valid trade certificate is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Perform well under high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in problem definition and analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Personal resilience and adaptability.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and general maintenance work.
- Personal Attributes:
- Willingness to undergo further training towards qualification.
