Accountant

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Manager to oversee financial reporting, manage operating capital, and lead our finance team. This role is crucial for implementing SOPs, enhancing internal financial controls, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Collate, prepare, and interpret financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Audit Management: Manage the audit process and ensure financial statements are completed accurately and on time.
• Budgeting & Analysis: Manage budgets, perform variance analysis, and identify cost-cutting opportunities and process improvements across the organization.
• Internal Controls: Implement, enhance, and oversee internal controls and SOPs while promoting best practices.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with managerial staff and third-party stakeholders to align financial strategies and objectives.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Accountant or in a similar financial management role, with experience in team management.
• Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Financial Management or Accounting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage 50/Pastel Evolution or similar accounting systems.
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in FMCG, Fast Food, or Retail sectors.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels with strong attention to detail.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in managing financial functions and implementing effective controls.
