Main Purpose of the Position

To assist the Operations Manager within the Cash-in-Transit (CIT) division and ensure that CIT operations are conducted according to planned procedures and schedules.

Minimum Requirements

  • Criminal Record: Clear criminal record.
  • Security Accreditation: PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification.
  • CIT Certification: Possess a Cash-in-Transit (CIT) certificate.
  • Firearm Competency: Handgun (for business purposes) qualification.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in computer skills.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the security industry or a similar role (advantageous at FSG).
  • CIT Management Experience: CIT management or supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license is advantageous.
  • Own Transport: Own transport is advantageous.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Able to work under pressure.
  • Irregular Hours: Prepared to work irregular hours.
  • Disciplinary Record: Clear disciplinary record.

Key Performance Areas

  • Vehicle Management: Take full responsibility and accountability for the CIT vehicle, including reporting mechanical faults, refueling, operating security systems, and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Operational Assistance: Assist with daily operational requirements.
  • Security Management: Ensure security and manage movement of CIT schedules during transit.
  • Driving: Drive the CIT vehicle when needed (if applicable).
  • Accident Prevention and Reporting: Prevent accidents and report any incidents.
  • Communication: Maintain contact with controllers and liaise with clients and staff, specifically management.
  • Documentation and Administration: Complete documentation and administration tasks, such as daily rosters and reports to be submitted to management.
  • Reporting: Report all delays to the Operations Manager immediately.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure adherence to risk management policies and compliance requirements.
