Work-Force
The organisation is recruiting a Safety Officer for its Odendaalsrus operation. The role forms part of a wider engineering jobs portfolio across Free State.
The Role
On top of that, the Safety Officer vacancy forms part of how the Odendaalsrus branch keeps performing. It pairs day-to-day delivery with longer-running priorities that keep the engineering jobs side of the business moving forward.
Beyond that, the organisation keeps reporting lines clean and expectations realistic. Performance is measured against a small, agreed set of metrics, and there are no surprise yardsticks for the Safety Officer taking on this position.
Stakeholders for this position include line managers, peers across the engineering jobs team and trusted external partners. Building those relationships early makes the next twelve months in Odendaalsrus much easier.
Working in Odendaalsrus
Working in Odendaalsrus means a place close to the Bloemfontein judicial hub, with a steady flow of activity and a strong local economy. The team has built solid relationships across the Free State region, and the Odendaalsrus office benefits from those long-standing connections.
Accessibility is taken seriously: where the role allows, the team works toward a balance of in-office presence and flexibility for candidates based in and around Odendaalsrus.
Many candidates already living within reach of Odendaalsrus cite the location as one of the role’s quiet wins, with shorter commutes and a real sense of being plugged into the local Free State economy.
Diversity and Inclusion
Beyond that, the organisation is committed to transformation and equal opportunity. Hiring is on merit, and applications are actively encouraged from women, youth, people with disabilities and other historically disadvantaged groups in line with the Employment Equity plan and B-BBEE objectives.
Practical steps back the words. Structured EE reporting, transformation initiatives and learnership programmes give real opportunities to candidates from across Free State.
Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Odendaalsrus.
