Internship Supply Chain

Work-Force

A Internship Supply Chain position is being filled in Port Shepstone. Suitable candidates from across KwaZulu-Natal are invited to submit their applications for review.

Overview

The organisation is investing in its Port Shepstone operation, and this Internship Supply Chain position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the in-service training function and contribute to the wider KwaZulu-Natal business.

In addition, the organisation keeps reporting lines clean and expectations realistic. Performance is measured against a small, agreed set of metrics, and there are no surprise yardsticks for the Internship Supply Chain taking on this position.

Notably, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Port Shepstone also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

Day in the Life

Your day starts with a quick check-in with your mentor and a review of the tasks you’ll shadow or own. You spend time observing experienced colleagues, asking questions and trying small pieces of work yourself. As the day progresses, you capture notes for your logbook, attend team huddles and contribute where you can. The mix of structured learning, real workplace exposure and supportive feedback helps you turn classroom theory into skills you can actually use.

In addition, the Port Shepstone office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when KwaZulu-Natal operations throw up the unexpected.

Equal Opportunity

Inclusion is a core part of how the team operates. This is an equal-opportunity employer, and candidates from all communities — including women, youth and persons living with disabilities — are encouraged to apply for this role in Port Shepstone.

Practical steps back the words. Structured EE reporting, transformation initiatives and learnership programmes give real opportunities to candidates from across KwaZulu-Natal.
