Equally, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Lichtenburg also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

Growing With Us

Internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Lichtenburg have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across North West.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.

Day in the Life

Your day starts with a quick check-in with your mentor and a review of the tasks you’ll shadow or own. You spend time observing experienced colleagues, asking questions and trying small pieces of work yourself. As the day progresses, you capture notes for your logbook, attend team huddles and contribute where you can. The mix of structured learning, real workplace exposure and supportive feedback helps you turn classroom theory into skills you can actually use.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when North West operations throw up the unexpected.

On top of that, the Lichtenburg office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

  • Complete assessments and submit deliverables on time and to standard
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions and problem-solving forums
  • Develop core workplace skills such as communication, teamwork and time management
  • Maintain a workplace logbook in line with your institution’s requirements
