Description:
Minopex is looking for recent graduates to join our Graduate Engineer-in-Training Programme for Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. This programme aims to provide aspiring engineers with the necessary experience and professional development to obtain an Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Electrical or Mechanical. We seek high-performing, disciplined, dedicated, and self-motivated individuals to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practical Learning: Develop skills through hands-on experience and interaction with senior, experienced staff.
- Coaching and Training: Learn by means of coaching, on-the-job training, and dealing with engineering and process challenges.
- Ongoing Assessment: Engage in continuous assessment and feedback to support professional growth.
- DMR Requirements: Train as an Engineer and gain exposure to all Annexure E modules, to be assessed and deemed competent by a Resident Engineer before writing the GCC examination.
- Rotation: Be willing to rotate between Minopex operations to gain comprehensive exposure.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years of work experience at a mine or plant is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office software tools.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Must be a South African Citizen.
Additional Information:
- The Programme is a 2-year fixed-term opportunity.
- Permanent employment is not guaranteed upon completion of the programme.
