Job Description: The General Laborer will perform various tasks requiring minimal induction, focusing on maintaining cleanliness, assisting with stock handling, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves manual labor and a proactive approach to contributing to the overall functionality of the workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleanliness: Ensure general tidiness and cleanliness of the premises, including routine cleaning duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
- Stock Handling: Assist with loading and offloading stock from vehicles as required, following company policies and procedures.
- Stock Control: Support stock control efforts by keeping accurate records and ensuring proper handling of stock items.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance to customers and suppliers, ensuring a positive experience and adherence to service standards.
- Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Carry out additional tasks as needed to support the overall function of the job.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 or NQF4.
- Physical Capability: Able to perform hard manual labor.
- Experience: Prior experience in similar roles is beneficial but not required.
- Skills:
- Service orientation with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Accurate, thorough, and precise in task execution.
- Excellent health and physical fitness to handle manual labor effectively.
