Key Responsibilities

As a Code 10 Driver, your duties will include:

1. Safe and Timely Transport

• Safely transport goods to various destinations within Gauteng, ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries.
• Plan routes to optimize delivery times, factoring in traffic and road conditions.

2. Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

• Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues that need attention.
• Follow up with necessary repairs and ensure vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.

3. Compliance with Regulations

• Strictly adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company regulations while driving.
• Follow all necessary safety procedures when loading and unloading goods to minimize risk.

4. Cargo Handling

• Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring that goods are properly secured and handled with care.
• Ensure all deliveries match customer orders and are delivered in the correct condition.

5. Documentation and Communication

Qualifications

To be successful as a Code 10 Driver, you should meet the following qualifications:

• License: A valid Code 10 driver’s license with a valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a logistics, courier, or similar role.
• Area Knowledge: Good knowledge of Johannesburg and the surrounding Gauteng areas.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items, load/unload cargo, and work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime.
