Armed Response Officer

Overview: We are seeking dedicated and experienced Armed Response Officers to join our security team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidates will have a solid background in the security industry, excellent physical fitness, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Matric certificate.
• PSIRA Accreditation: Grade B PSIRA accredited and registered with Response.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the security industry.
• Criminal Record: No criminal record; willing to undergo regular criminal checks.
• Health and Fitness: Must be physically fit, in good health, and not afraid of heights.
• Computer Literacy: An advantage.
• Estate/Residential Experience: Must have experience in estate or residential security.
• Firearm Competency: Firearm Competency – Handgun for Business Purposes.
• Residency: Must reside in or around Soweto and be within traveling distance to the site.
• Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Gender: Women candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Patrols and Responses: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and respond promptly to security incidents and alarms.
• Incident Handling: Handle security incidents professionally and in accordance with company procedures.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on incidents, breaches, and observations.
• Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients and residents, addressing their security concerns.
• Physical Tasks: Perform physical tasks associated with security duties, including climbing stairs and operating security equipment.
