Code 10 Driver

Work-Force

This is a current vacancy. We believe great workplaces are built on great people. We are looking for a Code 10 Driver in Mthatha, and we encourage applicants from across Eastern Cape to consider this opportunity.

What This Role Involves

Beyond that, this Code 10 Driver role has been briefed against a clear set of outcomes for Mthatha. The successful candidate will work alongside an established team and will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the logistics jobs pipeline across Eastern Cape.

The successful applicant is given the room to plan, deliver and review their work without unnecessary noise. The organisation has built its Mthatha team on trust, and the Code 10 Driver role will feel that from week one.

Stakeholders for this position include line managers, peers across the logistics jobs team and trusted external partners. Building those relationships early makes the next twelve months in Mthatha much easier.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

Practically speaking, the Mthatha office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Practically speaking, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Eastern Cape operations throw up the unexpected.
