Security Officer

Work-Force

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer in Saldanha. Suitably qualified candidates from across Western Cape are invited to apply.

What This Role Involves

The organisation is investing in its Saldanha operation, and this Security Officer position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the legal and security jobs function and contribute to the wider Western Cape business.

Day-to-day, the role balances focused delivery with the kind of collaboration that keeps things moving. The successful candidate is trusted to make sensible decisions inside the agreed scope, with line-management support whenever a sounding board is useful.

Quality is everyone’s job. Whether the Security Officer is processing a transaction, supporting a colleague or handling a customer query, the standard expected in Western Cape is consistently high and consistently fair.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Saldanha teams, and the new Security Officer will feel that from the first week.

Diversity and Inclusion

Crucially, the organisation is committed to fair, merit-based recruitment and equal opportunity. Applications are assessed against the published role requirements in line with applicable employment law.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Saldanha.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Notably, the hiring organisation’s applicable employment-equity and inclusion practices will be explained in the final vacancy details for Western Cape.

Your Team

Equally, the team you will be working with is fast-paced and energetic. Things move quickly across the Saldanha office, and the people who thrive here are the ones who plan ahead, communicate openly and pick up the slack when Western Cape operations get busy.

Collaboration is the default working mode. Whether picking up a quick query or working through a complex project, you will find colleagues willing to lean in and help.

Equally, the team structure and working relationships for this role in Saldanha will be explained during the hiring process.

Line management is hands-on without being heavy. Expect regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and the support needed to do good work consistently.

The Environment

Importantly, the environment is process-driven and regulation-aware. Whether you are at a desk or on site, attention to detail, calm conduct and accurate reporting are non-negotiable.

Beyond that, the role is intended to operate under the hiring organisation’s workplace conduct, health and safety policies in Western Cape.

Practically speaking, the working environment is set up to give the team the focus needed for deeper work, while keeping collaboration and quick problem-solving close at hand.

Health, safety and well-being are taken seriously. Current policies and procedures are maintained, and the Saldanha site adheres to the standards expected of a responsible South African employer.

Your Future Here

This role can grow with you. Strong performers in the legal and security jobs team in Saldanha have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Saldanha team member.

Internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Saldanha have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Western Cape.

What We Offer

You will join a team that values respectful collaboration, honest feedback and shared wins. The Saldanha colleagues take pride in supporting one another and in doing the legal and security jobs side of the business properly, day in and day out.

Equally, the package, working arrangements and any available support will be confirmed by the hiring organisation for this vacancy.

On top of that, the role’s development opportunities, training and benefits, if offered, will be set out in the final vacancy details.

Career development may be available depending on the role, business needs and the hiring organisation’s policies.
