Distribution Manager

Work-Force

Bring your skills as a Distribution Manager to Westville and join a team that moves fast. This KwaZulu-Natal role is one to watch.

Overview

The Distribution Manager vacancy forms part of how the Westville branch keeps performing. It pairs day-to-day delivery with longer-running priorities that keep the logistics jobs side of the business moving forward.

Notably, the organisation keeps reporting lines clean and expectations realistic. Performance is measured against a small, agreed set of metrics, and there are no surprise yardsticks for the Distribution Manager taking on this position.

Stakeholders for this position include line managers, peers across the logistics jobs team and trusted external partners. Building those relationships early makes the next twelve months in Westville much easier.

What We Offer

Few roles let you see the impact of your work as quickly as this one. Every shift, project and decision in Westville contributes to real outcomes for clients and colleagues across the logistics jobs space in KwaZulu-Natal.

In addition, the role’s development opportunities, training and benefits, if offered, will be set out in the final vacancy details.

On top of that, the package, working arrangements and any available support will be confirmed by the hiring organisation for this vacancy.

Day in the Life

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when KwaZulu-Natal operations throw up the unexpected.

Notably, the Westville office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.
