Work-Force
Whether you are a seasoned Occupational Health Practitioner or stepping into the role for the first time, there is space for you in Klerksdorp. The team hires on merit and across communities in North West.
What This Role Involves
The organisation is investing in its Klerksdorp operation, and this Occupational Health Practitioner position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the health jobs function and contribute to the wider North West business.
Communication runs both ways. Managers across the health jobs team in North West make time for one-to-ones, and people are expected to speak up early when something needs attention.
Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Occupational Health Practitioner to step into the health jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.
Based in Klerksdorp
Klerksdorp continues to grow as an employment hub in North West, with close to the Mahikeng administrative hub. This role gives you a foothold in one of its busier business communities, with access to the local services, suppliers and partners that keep the work moving.
If you are relocating, the team can share practical pointers on neighbourhoods, transport and the typical pace of life in Klerksdorp, North West.
Many candidates already living within reach of Klerksdorp cite the location as one of the role’s quiet wins, with shorter commutes and a real sense of being plugged into the local North West economy.
The Environment
Beyond that, the environment is clinical, regulated and patient-centred. Shift work, infection control protocols and clear scope-of-practice boundaries are part of every working day.
A respectful, professional environment is the standard in North West. Bullying, harassment and unfair conduct have no place here, and managers are trained to act decisively when concerns are raised.
Health, safety and well-being are taken seriously. Current policies and procedures are maintained, and the Klerksdorp site adheres to the standards expected of a responsible South African employer.
Day in the Life
You start your shift with a thorough handover, picking up patient histories, treatment plans and any concerns from the previous team. The morning is paced but purposeful — vital signs, medication rounds, bedside conversations — and you’re constantly switching between clinical tasks and the very human work of reassuring patients and families. Multi-disciplinary rounds give you a chance to advocate for your patients, and by the time you hand over again, you have done meaningful work that makes a real difference to the people in your care.
Notably, the Klerksdorp office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.
No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Klerksdorp.
