An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Researcher in Pinetown. Suitably qualified candidates from across KwaZulu-Natal are invited to apply.

Overview

The organisation is investing in its Pinetown operation, and this Legal Researcher position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the legal and security jobs function and contribute to the wider KwaZulu-Natal business.

On top of that, the successful applicant is given the room to plan, deliver and review their work without unnecessary noise. The organisation has built its Pinetown team on trust, and the Legal Researcher role will feel that from week one.

Quality is everyone’s job. Whether the Legal Researcher is processing a transaction, supporting a colleague or handling a customer query, the standard expected in KwaZulu-Natal is consistently high and consistently fair.

On top of that, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Pinetown also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

Our Commitment to Transformation

Inclusion is a core part of how the team operates. This is an equal-opportunity employer, and candidates from all communities — including women, youth and persons living with disabilities — are encouraged to apply for this role in Pinetown.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Pinetown.

Practical steps back the words. Structured EE reporting, transformation initiatives and learnership programmes give real opportunities to candidates from across KwaZulu-Natal.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day is built on focus and detail. You work through matter files or post lists, review evidence or contracts and check that every required record is in place. Communication with site teams, attorneys, clients or SAPS is constant, and you keep your reports factual, precise and timely. When something out of the ordinary happens, you respond calmly and follow procedure, knowing that good documentation today protects the business tomorrow.

Crucially, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when KwaZulu-Natal operations throw up the unexpected.

Practically speaking, the Pinetown office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Pinetown.
