You will join a tight-knit, collaborative team that knows the it jobs side of the business inside out. The Kuruman group is a healthy mix of experienced operators and newer joiners, all of whom share a strong commitment to delivery and to one another.

Line management is hands-on without being heavy. Expect regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and the support needed to do good work consistently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Mentor junior engineers through pairing and structured feedback
- Implement security best practices in line with POPIA obligations
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and runbooks
- Collaborate with product and design teams during sprint planning
- Investigate and resolve user-reported support tickets at L2 and L3
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs
What You’ll Need
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Understanding of secure development principles aligned with POPIA
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling
- Experience with Git, branching strategies and pull-request workflows
- Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases
