Industrial Relations Officer

Work-Force

A Industrial Relations Officer is needed in Prieska. The role focuses on consistent delivery, accurate work and clear communication across the Northern Cape operation.

The Role

An experienced Industrial Relations Officer is needed to support operations in Prieska. The role forms part of how the business keeps its hr jobs portfolio strong in Northern Cape.

The organisation keeps reporting lines clean and expectations realistic. Performance is measured against a small, agreed set of metrics, and there are no surprise yardsticks for the Industrial Relations Officer taking on this position.

In addition, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Prieska also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Prieska teams, and the new Industrial Relations Officer will feel that from the first week.

Equal Opportunity

Diverse teams build stronger workplaces. Applications are welcome from candidates of every background, language and community across Northern Cape, and recruitment is fair, transparent and aligned with the EE Act.

Practical steps back the words. Structured EE reporting, transformation initiatives and learnership programmes give real opportunities to candidates from across Northern Cape.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Prieska.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Day in the Life

Your day is people-shaped from the moment you log in. You move between recruitment screens, manager calls, payroll queries and the occasional sensitive conversation that needs your full attention. Mid-morning you might be running an onboarding session for new starters, and by the afternoon you’re back at your desk preparing EE or B-BBEE reports. Through it all, you balance compliance with care, making sure that policies are followed and people are heard.

Practically speaking, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Northern Cape operations throw up the unexpected.

On top of that, the Prieska office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Prieska.

Your Future Here

This role can grow with you. Strong performers in the hr jobs team in Prieska have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.

Internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Prieska have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Northern Cape.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Prieska team member.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.
