Head Chef

Work-Force

Step into a Head Chef role in Mmabatho and make your mark across North West. The team is hiring now and wants to hear from sharp, committed candidates.

About This Position

An experienced Head Chef is needed to support operations in Mmabatho. The role forms part of how the business keeps its hospitality jobs portfolio strong in North West.

The organisation keeps reporting lines clean and expectations realistic. Performance is measured against a small, agreed set of metrics, and there are no surprise yardsticks for the Head Chef taking on this position.

Quality is everyone’s job. Whether the Head Chef is processing a transaction, supporting a colleague or handling a customer query, the standard expected in North West is consistently high and consistently fair.

A Typical Day

Your shift usually starts with a brief from the duty manager, a quick station check and a look at the day’s bookings or specials. As guests arrive, you slip into a steady rhythm — warm welcomes, accurate orders and seamless coordination with the kitchen and bar. Service peaks demand calm focus and tight teamwork, and quieter moments are spent resetting tables, polishing glassware or training a new starter. When the last guest leaves happy, you know you have delivered a memorable hospitality experience.

Importantly, the Mmabatho office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

In addition, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when North West operations throw up the unexpected.

Diversity and Inclusion

On top of that, the organisation supports a respectful workplace. Applications are welcome from suitably qualified candidates across North West, and recruitment is intended to be fair and transparent.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Beyond that, the hiring organisation’s applicable employment-equity and inclusion practices will be explained in the final vacancy details for North West.
