An experienced Department Manager is needed to support operations in Kathu. The role forms part of how the business keeps its retail jobs portfolio strong in Northern Cape.
Day-to-day, the role balances focused delivery with the kind of collaboration that keeps things moving. The successful candidate is trusted to make sensible decisions inside the agreed scope, with line-management support whenever a sounding board is useful.
Stakeholders for this position include line managers, peers across the retail jobs team and trusted external partners. Building those relationships early makes the next twelve months in Kathu much easier.

Your Role
- Train new team members on store procedures and product knowledge
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports for the store manager
- Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying goods against invoices
- Maintain visual merchandising standards on the sales floor
- Conduct daily cash-ups and reconcile takings against the POS report
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and consumer protection regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Awareness of consumer protection and B-BBEE principles
- Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems and handling cash
- Matric / National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Numerate and accurate, with attention to detail on cash-ups
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a customer-facing retail role
- Experience with stock counting and basic inventory principles
