A Control Room Operator position is being filled in Johannesburg. Suitable candidates from across Gauteng are invited to submit their applications for review.
About the Opportunity
This Control Room Operator role sits within the legal and security jobs function in Johannesburg. It offers a defined scope, clear measures of success, and the support of an experienced team across Gauteng.
The role suits a candidate who values consistency and clear communication. The Johannesburg operation runs on accurate work, steady relationships and a genuine respect for the people in the team.
Crucially, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Johannesburg also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.
Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Control Room Operator to step into the legal and security jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.
Growing With Us
On top of that, this role can grow with you. Strong performers in the legal and security jobs team in Johannesburg have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.
Equally, internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Johannesburg have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Gauteng.
Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.
Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Johannesburg team member.
What We Offer
You will join a team that values respectful collaboration, honest feedback and shared wins. The Johannesburg colleagues take pride in supporting one another and in doing the legal and security jobs side of the business properly, day in and day out.
Career development may be available depending on the role, business needs and the hiring organisation’s policies.
Crucially, the package, working arrangements and any available support will be confirmed by the hiring organisation for this vacancy.
Equally, the role’s development opportunities, training and benefits, if offered, will be set out in the final vacancy details.
Day in the Life
Your day is built on focus and detail. You work through matter files or post lists, review evidence or contracts and check that every required record is in place. Communication with site teams, attorneys, clients or SAPS is constant, and you keep your reports factual, precise and timely. When something out of the ordinary happens, you respond calmly and follow procedure, knowing that good documentation today protects the business tomorrow.
Crucially, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Gauteng operations throw up the unexpected.
No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Johannesburg.
Practically speaking, the Johannesburg office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.
Your Workplace
Notably, the environment is process-driven and regulation-aware. Whether you are at a desk or on site, attention to detail, calm conduct and accurate reporting are non-negotiable.
Beyond that, the role is intended to operate under the hiring organisation’s workplace conduct, health and safety policies in Gauteng.
Health, safety and well-being are taken seriously. Current policies and procedures are maintained, and the Johannesburg site adheres to the standards expected of a responsible South African employer.
