Picker Packer

Work-Force

Whether you are an experienced Picker Packer or stepping into the role for the first time, there is space for you in Cape Town. The team hires on merit and across communities in Western Cape.

The Role

The organisation is investing in its Cape Town operation, and this Picker Packer position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the logistics jobs function and contribute to the wider Western Cape business.

Day-to-day, the role balances focused delivery with the kind of collaboration that keeps things moving. The successful candidate is trusted to make sensible decisions inside the agreed scope, with line-management support whenever a sounding board is useful.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Picker Packer to step into the logistics jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

Diversity and Inclusion

Equally, the organisation is committed to fair, merit-based recruitment and equal opportunity. Applications are assessed against the published role requirements in line with applicable employment law.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Cape Town.

On top of that, the hiring organisation’s applicable employment-equity and inclusion practices will be explained in the final vacancy details for Western Cape.

Your Future Here

This role can grow with you. Strong performers in the logistics jobs team in Cape Town have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Cape Town team member.

Importantly, internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Cape Town have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Western Cape.

Meet the Team

Practically speaking, the team you will be working with is fast-paced and energetic. Things move quickly across the Cape Town office, and the people who thrive here are the ones who plan ahead, communicate openly and pick up the slack when Western Cape operations get busy.

Line management is hands-on without being heavy. Expect regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and the support needed to do good work consistently.

Collaboration is the default working mode. Whether picking up a quick query or working through a complex project, you will find colleagues willing to lean in and help.
