Delivery Driver

Work-Force

The organisation is recruiting a Delivery Driver for its Benoni operation. The role forms part of a wider logistics jobs portfolio across Gauteng.

About This Position

This Delivery Driver role has been briefed against a clear set of outcomes for Benoni. The successful candidate will work alongside an established team and will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the logistics jobs pipeline across Gauteng.

Notably, the role suits a candidate who values consistency and clear communication. The Benoni operation runs on accurate work, steady relationships and a genuine respect for the people in the team.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Benoni teams, and the new Delivery Driver will feel that from the first week.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Delivery Driver to step into the logistics jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

Where You’ll Work

Beyond that, the environment is operationally driven and physical at times, with shift-based work, strict safety standards and a strong focus on accuracy and on-time delivery.

Crucially, the role is intended to operate under the hiring organisation’s workplace conduct, health and safety policies in Gauteng.

Health, safety and well-being are taken seriously. Current policies and procedures are maintained, and the Benoni site adheres to the standards expected of a responsible South African employer.

On top of that, the working environment is set up to give the team the focus needed for deeper work, while keeping collaboration and quick problem-solving close at hand.

Based in Benoni

Working in Benoni means a place close to OR Tambo International Airport, with a steady flow of activity and a strong local economy. The team has built solid relationships across the Gauteng region, and the Benoni office benefits from those long-standing connections.

Candidates should review the listed location, schedule and travel requirements before applying for this role in Benoni, Gauteng.

Many candidates already living within reach of Benoni cite the location as one of the role’s quiet wins, with shorter commutes and a real sense of being plugged into the local Gauteng economy.

Accessibility is taken seriously: where the role allows, the team works toward a balance of in-office presence and flexibility for candidates based in and around Benoni.

Diversity and Inclusion

In addition, the organisation supports a respectful workplace. Applications are welcome from suitably qualified candidates across Gauteng, and recruitment is intended to be fair and transparent.

Practically speaking, the hiring organisation’s applicable employment-equity and inclusion practices will be explained in the final vacancy details for Gauteng.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Benoni.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Benoni.

Importantly, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Gauteng operations throw up the unexpected.

Equally, the Benoni office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.
