Work-Force
This is a current vacancy. We believe great workplaces are built on great people. We are looking for a Loss Prevention Officer in Butterworth, and we encourage applicants from across Eastern Cape to consider this opportunity.
Overview
The Loss Prevention Officer vacancy forms part of how the Butterworth branch keeps performing. It pairs day-to-day delivery with longer-running priorities that keep the legal and security jobs side of the business moving forward.
Communication runs both ways. Managers across the legal and security jobs team in Eastern Cape make time for one-to-ones, and people are expected to speak up early when something needs attention.
Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Loss Prevention Officer to step into the legal and security jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.
The Environment
Equally, the environment is process-driven and regulation-aware. Whether you are at a desk or on site, attention to detail, calm conduct and accurate reporting are non-negotiable.
Health, safety and well-being are taken seriously. Current policies and procedures are maintained, and the Butterworth site adheres to the standards expected of a responsible South African employer.
A respectful, professional environment is the standard in Eastern Cape. Bullying, harassment and unfair conduct have no place here, and managers are trained to act decisively when concerns are raised.
A Typical Day
Your day is built on focus and detail. You work through matter files or post lists, review evidence or contracts and check that every required record is in place. Communication with site teams, attorneys, clients or SAPS is constant, and you keep your reports factual, precise and timely. When something out of the ordinary happens, you respond calmly and follow procedure, knowing that good documentation today protects the business tomorrow.
No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Butterworth.
On top of that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Eastern Cape operations throw up the unexpected.
