Compliance Officer

Work-Force

A Compliance Officer is needed in Queenstown. The role focuses on consistent delivery, accurate work and clear communication across the Eastern Cape operation.

About This Position

The organisation is investing in its Queenstown operation, and this Compliance Officer position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the legal and security jobs function and contribute to the wider Eastern Cape business.

Expect a structured first ninety days, with onboarding milestones, regular check-ins, and an early focus on getting comfortable with the systems and processes that underpin the Queenstown team.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Queenstown teams, and the new Compliance Officer will feel that from the first week.

Reasonable working hours and respectful planning are part of how the role runs. The team values strong delivery, and load is balanced fairly across the legal and security jobs group in Queenstown.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Compliance Officer to step into the legal and security jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day is built on focus and detail. You work through matter files or post lists, review evidence or contracts and check that every required record is in place. Communication with site teams, attorneys, clients or SAPS is constant, and you keep your reports factual, precise and timely. When something out of the ordinary happens, you respond calmly and follow procedure, knowing that good documentation today protects the business tomorrow.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Eastern Cape operations throw up the unexpected.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Queenstown.

Importantly, the Queenstown office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Diversity and Inclusion

Diverse teams build stronger workplaces. Applications are welcome from candidates of every background, language and community across Eastern Cape, and recruitment is fair, transparent and aligned with the EE Act.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Practical steps back the words. Structured EE reporting, transformation initiatives and learnership programmes give real opportunities to candidates from across Eastern Cape.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Queenstown.

Career progression here is real, not a slogan. The legal and security jobs space in Queenstown offers a clear runway from delivery into team leadership and beyond, and managers sit down with each team member regularly to map out the next step in Eastern Cape.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Queenstown team member.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.

Practically speaking, internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Queenstown have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Eastern Cape.

Importantly, the working environment is set up to give the team the focus needed for deeper work, while keeping collaboration and quick problem-solving close at hand.

On top of that, a respectful, professional environment is the standard in Eastern Cape. Bullying, harassment and unfair conduct have no place here, and managers are trained to act decisively when concerns are raised.
