Duties and Responsibilities:
Part-Time Lecturing
- Deliver lectures on IIE qualifications across various modes of delivery.
- Mark assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Internally moderate assessment scripts where necessary.
Lecturer Development and Support
- Assist with lecturer development through peer reviews, workshops, and consultations.
Student Development and Support
- Lead and manage academic development for specific programmes and students.
- Track student success and implement support interventions as needed.
Research and Scholarship
- Promote a culture of scholarship within your practice and contribute to achieving annual research output targets.
Competencies Required:
- Superior communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage work and self proactively.
- Proven track record of effective teaching based on reflective practice.
- Ability to manage relationships with staff and students effectively.
- Passion for customer service and enhancing learning through technology.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Master’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (NQF Level 9).
Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in a similar environment.
- Experience in lecturing databases and programming.
- Background in software development, application development, or mobile programming.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies:
- .NET: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Blazor, UWP
- JavaScript: React, Angular
- Cloud Development: Azure, AWS
- Mobile Application Development: Android/iOS
- Database Systems: SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB
- Operating Systems: Windows/Linux
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
