Duties and Responsibilities:
- Academic Delivery:
- Plan, deliver, and assess a rigorous and relevant academic program for all assigned classes.
- Provide future-focused education that motivates, inspires, and challenges students.
- Guide students in important decisions on subject choices.
- Academic Assessment & Reporting:
- Regularly assess and report on students’ academic progress.
- Use assessments to inform teaching and support student development.
- Student Behaviour Management:
- Implement effective strategies for managing student behavior.
- Foster an encouraging and respectful learning environment.
- School Brand Ambassadorship:
- Represent the school positively in interactions with colleagues, parents, guardians, and the community.
- Maintain and develop constructive partnerships with all members of the learning community.
- Administration:
- Handle administrative tasks related to teaching responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
- Health & Safety:
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Degree (NQF Level 7) and PGCE or B.Ed. (Senior Phase or FET).
- Specialized degree if teaching a specialist subject (preferred).
- SACE certification and a police clearance are required.
- 2-5 years of teaching experience.
- 2-5 years of specialist subject teaching, if applicable.
- Computer and digital literacy.
- First Aid certification.
