I currently hold the post of Finance Manager and previously a Senior Manager Finance Admin & HR and have been in that position for over 8 years.Financial Management,Payrol administration and HR are one of my Key Performance Areas. Whilst i do not have a B Comm degree, I do have a diploma in Business Management and Administration, of which a large component was Human Resource Management, Communications, Sales and Marketing and Financial management. Further I do have the years of experience in the Finance Department. I have extensive knowledge in Pastel accounting and Pastel Payroll. I can perform bookkeeping duties up to Trial Balance but also reconciliation up Balance Sheet. I also have knowledge and experience in drawing up budgets, budget monitoring, management accounts, cash flow monitoring and transcribing various Financial reports from the Accounting cash books, petty cash management, banking and payments either by cheque or internet banking. I manage the Debtors and creditors, reconciling on a monthly basis.
I am also a tutor for a distant learning course called Finance for non financial managers that covers all of the functions of the Financial aspects of an organization.
My experience under Human Resource covers all aspects of Pastel Payroll admintration, personnel administration including drawing up of employment contracts, recruitment processes, performance management process, monitoring training needs for staff to fulfill job requirements, disciplinary processes and disputes with CCMA, Staff wellness and to some extent the Organisation policy development and updates. I also am responsible for the submission of all Statutory requirements to SARS via e filing.
My experience as Office manager included management of switchboard and reception area, procument process of admin/office resources, ensuring that the admin and support functions of the organization run smoothly and efficiently.
I currently sit on 2 boards as a board member and a treasurer and render capacity building on finance matters as needed.
I had experience in managing a consultancy unit which provided various income generation projects.
