  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources and / or Labour Law  (NQF 5) and / or Criminal Law
  • Have at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in supervisory role
  • Have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and appropriate information systems
  • Have distinguished himself / herself as a specialist in the field
  • Have a good knowledge of relevant legislations BCEA, LRA, and EEA
  • Have extensive experience in handling disciplinary matters
  • Exhibit good insight /  knowledge of economic, marketing, legal (especially Labour Law), socio- political and other factors influencing the discipline and industry
  • Be efficient and creative in order to add value to, and achieve both service excellence and business objectives within a dynamic and robust environment
  • Be a self-starter and work with limited supervision to ensure expedited complexion of processes
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong prosecuting skills
  • Pay attention to detail, and have a meticulous and well-organised work method
  • Display strong analytical, problem solving and presentation abilities
  • Be diplomatic yet assertive, with excellent reporting competencies
  • Have unquestionable integrity and work ethic
  • Be a team player, but show resourcefulness and leadership abilities in producing deadline-driven results
  • Be willing to work extended hours , handle high volume load and travel as required
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
  • Professional registration e.g. SABPP (at least at practitioners level), and / or SASLAW
  • Mining Industry knowledge and experience
  • Legal qualification / background
  • Representing the Group in internal / high priority disciplinary matters
  • Planning consistent with preparation for the dispute resolution process and disciplinary matters
  • Planning and managing case load as well as managing stakeholders relationships
  • Proving guidance to Operations on disciplinary matter
  • Supervise the activities of Trade Union Leaders
  • Coordinate union and management meetings
  • Ensure proper Employee Relations record keeping
  • Ensure that shaft forum meetings take place and assist with collective bargaining at Senior Manager  Operations Units and Branch level
  • Build Employee Relations capacity at different Senior Manager Operations Units
  • Ensure that workplace discipline is entrenched and that disciplinary action is fair, consistent and upholds Sibanye-Stillwater values
  • Draft and present weekly, monthly and annual Employee Relations reports
  • Providing ad hoc training on disciplinary matters
  • Assist in scheduling of priority misconducts
