Learning and Development Officer

Work-Force

Applications are warmly invited for a Learning and Development Officer role based in Lichtenburg. We welcome candidates from every background across North West who are ready to grow with us.

Overview

The organisation is investing in its Lichtenburg operation, and this Learning and Development Officer position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the hr jobs function and contribute to the wider North West business.

Expect a structured first ninety days, with onboarding milestones, regular check-ins, and an early focus on getting comfortable with the systems and processes that underpin the Lichtenburg team.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Learning and Development Officer to step into the hr jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

A Typical Day

Your day is people-shaped from the moment you log in. You move between recruitment screens, manager calls, payroll queries and the occasional sensitive conversation that needs your full attention. Mid-morning you might be running an onboarding session for new starters, and by the afternoon you’re back at your desk preparing EE or B-BBEE reports. Through it all, you balance compliance with care, making sure that policies are followed and people are heard.

Notably, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when North West operations throw up the unexpected.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Lichtenburg.
