Description

An exciting contract opportunity has become available for a Financial Manager: in Group Reporting. The successful incumbent would be responsible for management reporting in the Finance and Advisory division.

The key responsibilities would include:

  • Reconcile monthly financial & management results
  • Preparation of the consolidated monthly Management Accounts in line with the reporting timelines for Board meetings
  • Assist in the finalisation of the month-end close off process
  • Preparation of various monthly & quarterly reports for Board booklets
  • Maintain & develop Budgeting & Reporting templates required to facilitate consolidation of budget/projection
  • Preparation of consolidated annual budget and quarterly projection booklets & presentations in line with the reporting timelines for Board meetings
  • Preparation of the CFO presentations for Board meetings
  • Involvement as required in month-end and year-end general ledger functions
  • Involvement in interim & year-end reporting process as required (including liaison/query resolution with external auditors with regards to management accounts)
  • Assist in the implementation of the internal and financial controls
  • Identify new Management Reports to meet business requirements
  • BPC & SAP administration and support
  • Relationship building and liaison with various areas on reporting, budget requirements and deadlines etc
  • Other ad-hoc duties and allocated projects

We are looking for someone who is:

  • The ability to multi-task under pressurised conditions
  • The ability to work pro-actively and independently (excellent time management skills)
  • To be able to communicate effectively at all levels & liaise with the support teams and various divisions
  • Experience with and a good working knowledge of SAP, BPC, Excel, PowerPoint (SAP and BPC knowledge/experience will be advantageous)
  • Strong admin orientation and analytical ability
  • High levels of accuracy and good attention to detail
  • Good service-orientation, interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Good planning and organising ability

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CA(SA)
  • 3 + years relevant accounting and reporting experience
  • Relevant working experience in a retail environment (advantage)
  • Knowledge of SAP and BPC (advantage)
