Duties

Key performance areas:

    Manage day to day modifications to ensure that accounting entries comply with IFRS16.
    Manage stakeholder relationships with the Contract Management team and be comfortable with contract interpretation on aspects that impact IFRS16.
    Report to top management on how IFRS16 impacts the financial results and be comfortable with the parameters that are impacting the valuation of the RoU asset and the Lease Liability.
    Maintain SAP conditions to ensure that the required accounting result is achieved.
    Manage and Review of Business Rules w.r.t IFRS16 valuation (in conjunction with the Contract Management Team).
    Stakeholder management on managing of Business rules with Contract Management team and the auditors.
    Maintenance of the Business Rules on the SAP solution to ensure accurate valuation.
    Manage contract changes and apply the correct valuation changes accordingly.
    Review valuation rules based on daily modifications and make the necessary changes.
    Review ROI and apply business rules to determine the renewal options to be selected IBR calculation an application.
    Perform Valuation (Executing valuation simulation, reviewing valuation cash flow).
    Update valuation postings and review accounting entries.
    Reconciliation between rental payment and clearing of Lease Liability.
    Continuously investigate rental payments and considering potential IFRS16 leases.
    Straight lining periodic payment.
    Manage Impairments of Right of Use (RE-FX) assets on SAP after collaboration with Group Finance.
    Reporting on Right of Use Asset and Lease Liability.
    Analyse the results and perform reasonability checks (i.e. Impairments, Depreciation).
    BPC Uploads and reconciliations.
    Annual Financial Statement disclosure.

The successful candidate must have:

    Matric with a relevant Accounting Degree
    Registration as a CA(SA)
    Expert knowledge on IFRS16
    SAP RE-FX experience will be advantageous
    Good interpersonal skills (Stakeholders involve Operation Contract Management team, Group Finance, Auditors, Top Management)
    Knowledge and understanding of currency impacts for Lease Liability revaluations
