Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate, reporting to the Regional Airport Manager, will be responsible for the following:

Provide a safe and secure environment and manage security personnel.
Manage time and attendance and Conduct Resource planning.
Manage entire recruitment process.
Manage the performance of staff and oversee outsourced staff, and introduce remedial processed where necessary
Ensure professional behaviour and application of customer service standards by all staff at all times.
Chair and prosecute disciplinary procedures
Manage and coordinate activities within own area of discipline.
Chair operational meetings and attend stakeholder meetings, including mandatory meetings.
Compile and ensure compliance and adherence to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and inspect registers where applicable.
Ensure crime prevention measures are in place and ensure all criminal activities are reported.
Provide input into Airport Security Program (ASP)
Ensure compliance to ASQ and QMS targets
Identify and implement contingency plans to mitigate identified security risk.
Ensure all internal and External stakeholders comply with security policies and procedures
Ensure and operate according to ICAO,NKP and SACAA and other relevant legislation and all ACSA policies and procedures
Manage internal and external auditing processes
Ensure contract management in line with SLA
Collaborate with SAPS and local government agencies.
Manage Budget within relevant area
Short-listed candidates will undergo relevant background checks, vetting and medical examinations as per the company’s security regulations.
Positions will be filled in line with ACSA’s values and Employment Equity policy and plan. Preference will be given to members of designated groups that are under-represented and will also be advertised externally.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is essential.
South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) supervisory Certificate essential
Relevant Diploma is recommended.
National Key Point Certification (NKP), Firearm Competency, (SACAA) Dangerous goods/Safe passage/Basic Aviation Security Certification (AVSEC)
PSIRA (Grade A).
3 years operational experience essential.
- 2 years Management experience essential
The ideal candidate must be customer centric, detailed orientated, communicates well verbally and written, directs people, inspires a future and is able to manage conflict and be ethical at all times. The person must be able, plan work and demonstrate good problem- solving skills.
