Transport Planner

Work-Force

Looking for your next move as a Transport Planner in Vanderbijlpark? A role has just opened that gives you real responsibility and a clear path forward in Gauteng.

About the Opportunity

An experienced Transport Planner is needed to support operations in Vanderbijlpark. The role forms part of how the business keeps its logistics jobs portfolio strong in Gauteng.

Expect a structured first ninety days, with onboarding milestones, regular check-ins, and an early focus on getting comfortable with the systems and processes that underpin the Vanderbijlpark team.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Vanderbijlpark teams, and the new Transport Planner will feel that from the first week.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Transport Planner to step into the logistics jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

Meet the Team

The team you will be working with is fast-paced and energetic. Things move quickly across the Vanderbijlpark office, and the people who thrive here are the ones who plan ahead, communicate openly and pick up the slack when Gauteng operations get busy.

On top of that, the team structure and working relationships for this role in Vanderbijlpark will be explained during the hiring process.

Collaboration is the default working mode. Whether picking up a quick query or working through a complex project, you will find colleagues willing to lean in and help.

Line management is hands-on without being heavy. Expect regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and the support needed to do good work consistently.

Day in the Life

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

Equally, the Vanderbijlpark office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Gauteng operations throw up the unexpected.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Vanderbijlpark.

Diversity and Inclusion

On top of that, the organisation is committed to fair, merit-based recruitment and equal opportunity. Applications are assessed against the published role requirements in line with applicable employment law.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Vanderbijlpark.

Notably, the hiring organisation’s applicable employment-equity and inclusion practices will be explained in the final vacancy details for Gauteng.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Career Growth

Career progression for this logistics jobs role in Vanderbijlpark depends on the hiring organisation’s policies, role requirements and business needs in Gauteng.

Notably, internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Vanderbijlpark have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Gauteng.
